[laughter] neil: rea, the vice presidential debate is done. martha raddatz was very focused and sharp come asking great questions to both candidates as they gather with their families. one of the things that you realize, i saw the vice president smirking and smiling a lot. that might be good or bad, depending on if you are fond of smirking and smiling. after a while it seemed to be overkill. a quick point you could make on paul ryan, certainly in the early going, he was just writing too much. i don't know what he was writing, but after a while, he sort of cooled on that and focused. obviously, as the debate ensued, paul ryan stop that and focus more on the vice president and roughly the last hour of the debate. then it got more heated and much, much more direct. another thing i noticed is one someone refers to them as my friend, they don't mean that at all. when you refer to them as your friend and then he ripped them a new one, that is the way of washington. keep in mind, joe biden h
